I must confess to not being very good at e-mailing to authors - but having read several of your stories recently - I have to say how much I enjoyed

You can tell from when you posted them how lazy I am at writing to authors
Your writing style is excellent - a professional level - and the translations to English are very good
I am just amazed at how long ago you wrote these stories - you must have started at a young age - but as the stories date back to the 1990's - do you still write?
There are bound to be a few stories that will not appeal to me - but please keep on posting - I really enjoy most of them!

What does one do when one sees lightning strike thrice? Seguro que hay que describirlo, no?
One, I've been to Sitges and lived in Barcelona, in '73-4, as a student of the Knox College program at la Universidad de Barcelona. I preferred Tossa del Mar, but Sitges was good, too! My Catalan host brothers were, and are, much beloved. I was 20, they were 17 and 14. We had no secrets.
Two, I was born in New Mexico, and I lived among Navajo Indians, for 8 years. My best friend there was a rodeo bull-rider. He was more than a friend. ;>)
Three, my backyard (near Seattle) is full of Goldfinches every summer.
Besides "The king of Sitges" and "Goldfinch", I've visited your web site. It's amazing. I just wanted to finally drop a line, and tell you how much I'm enjoying "Goldfinch" as it comes to Nifty. You've not only mastered writing, but doing so from a Native American perspective.

In your story "The King of Sitges", you almost broke my heart when Jaume made love with Kiril. It was so beautiful. Of course Kiril is exactly like Jaume, and he will suffer, because he has fallen for Jaume and Jaume has been hurt too many times to recognise the one. How equisitely cruel life can sometimes be and yet it's also wonderfully magical.
Your Story is beautiful, you have lived a rather magical life, full of wonderful experiences, and you are open, you know how to express your emotions and be kind. All this comes across through your writing and your characters. It is inspiring, if only I could write a little like you do. You manage to express love and sexuality with a balance that stirs the heart and excites. It is always fine and it is captivating. I have much admiration for your writing.

Dear Andrej,
I mentioned your story "The King of Sitges", a story I really like a lot, to a friend. His reaction was, "I'm not sure I want to read a story about a prostitute." I said nothing.
That statement is as sad as Jaume not finding the love he seeks, his continuous hateful rejections. He gets used, but himself he doesn't use people. Do people not have love and compassion in their hearts, can they not see beyond the surface. Who cares if he is a prostitute, that is not who Jaume is on the inside, although it would seem to define him in the eyes of the world.

Andrej,
In your story "The King of Sitges", at one point, you explore the intimacy of male male relationships when Jaume encounters Juan, which is something very interesting. I liked the way you did this. I also feel there is a lot more to be explored. Whilst they talked about how one male knows how to satisfy another, they did not get into the, how do I say this, the physical aspect of the undeniable pleasure apparent when both boys are erect. When either is penetrating the other, the one willingly submitting is very obviously aroused. Something not so evident with the opposite sex. Anyway, a lot to be explored.

I read the prologue and chapter one of "The King of Sitges"
It's a great story, all the better for being located around Barcelona and Sitges. But then I'm biased, I like European stories. The main character is immediately appealing, the introduction is superb and sets everything up. How did he arrive there?
The next chapter one, is very believable and well told, but I feel you could have taken a little more time to describe some scenes in more detail. I know you wrote it nearly thirty years ago. In particular Jaume's first sexual experience, then the first time he gets fucked, and what went on with Miguel in the tent alone. I don't mean you should have given a graphic sexual description, more set the scene, described the house and Pedro's bedroom and the emotions Jaume was feeling. The love came across, he fell in love with Pedro.
The relationship with Miguel is just one of Jaume being used because I don't think Miguel was in love with him, he just wanted to get his rocks off. But we didn't get too much detail.
Despite everything I've said, it's a great story, one I'm looking forward to reading.

Hi Andrej
Just read your account of Jaume (The King of Sitges) and enjoyed it a lot. I then read a few episodes of your mafia story of confused identities (Double shunt), and then of Piero (Akim Akim).
I am not sure of your mother tongue, but because you get a friend to check your translation, I am pretty sure it is not English. Although a couple of stories are set in Italy, your name suggests that is not where you are from... it sounds more like central Europe.
I start with this preamble because I am writing to tell you that I am impressed by the way you write, especially as a presumed foreigner to English. There are occasional awkward expressions, but more often, I find myself admiring the way you express yourself. I also find your style more subtle than the more common, "bam bam thank you mam" with more tenderness and innocence and joy of discovery.
You also seem to be well travelled, with knowledge of Spain and Italy, which as I commented, are probably not your country of birth. That makes you a bit of a kindred spirit.

I have read some of your stories before. It was a few years ago, when I first found gay stories on the internet. I'm sorry that I didn't write to you then, but I was quite shy (and still am).
Last night I found your website again and noticed that many more stories have been translated into English, which made me very happy. I have been studying Italian for 18 months but I'm still not quite good enough to read your stories in their original language.
Of the stories I have read so far, I like Black Clover, Chipi, Boy-san and The King of Sitges. You are an amazingly versatile writer, you know so much about different things, cultures, and eras. Although the English translations do not always have perfect grammar and fluency, the beauty of your writing shines through. Your stories have great heart, they give me hope.

Infamous Trade! It is another Great tale of yours.
I have Enjoyed your Beautiful tales for years. Ever since I hooked up to the internet & found your first stories on Nifty I have loved them. I then discovered your web site & began my liking & respecting you as a man not just an Authour. I have so much respect & admiration for you.
I was So happy to read about you & Matt falling in love. I pray & wish, you both, True Happiness Forever!
You have 112 stories. 76 are not translated into English yet. I have read all 36 translated into English more than once. I can't wait until more of the 76 are translated.
Each of your Beautiful adventures has taught me something valuable.
My favourite is Italian Brothers 1 The Corporal. The love between Enzo & Ruggiero is just full of such passion, devotion, loyalty, innocence, humility, strength & weakness. I have read this Love story 5 times.
I have other favourites as well.
I love Chipi, Dear Eugenio, I, The President's Son, King of Sitges, 7 Brothers For Mel Baxter, Snot Boy & We Are Presumed To Be Enemies.
In Snot Boy & Chipi I love the role or power reversal of the two main characters. I just love that it doesn't affect there love for each other.
I think we all dream & long for True Love & I had that for 15 years. Your romances touch my heart & soul.
I know that your writings have been translated by a number of different people & now Matt. If I may be so bold as to mention that you always had them translated with that certain amount of "broken English." This adds a foreign & allusive quality to your romantic adventures. For me, a Canadian, it enhances the romance.
Your web page is Absolutely Fantastic. I now visit the Hunger Site everyday to in my small way help. I found that while exploring your web site.
While trying to bring an end to my email, to you before I bore you, maybe my Favourite tale is you & Matt finding each other. That is ironic but maybe your true life romance & meeting of two souls is the Best.
