Dear Andrej,
the story of Hiram the Phoenician is quite interesting, even for the style of writing that you have chosen, I believe, to make us feel the atmosphere of the ancient Middle East.
In this story, love is between Hiram and his God, it seems evident to me. And therefore in its physical aspects it can only take place between Hiram and the faithful of the god. Of course, this physical aspect can not have the charm of love between two human beings. At least, so I think. On the other hand, your allusion to sacred prostitutes also makes me think so.
So this novel may be less engaging than others, yet I really enjoyed it. So, dear Andrej, thanks also for this novel
Gavrail
