One of the stories I loved the most is "The Mercenary and the Friar" in which, in my opinion, you have given the best of yourself. Neil and Augustin are two very beautiful characters, and their love allows Neil to return to a normal and beautiful life. However, I really like it when Augustin, for love, forgets for a moment his principle of non-violence, to save the one he loves. This makes him a "real" person. Very good!

Andrej,
I have read with delight "The Mercenary and the Friar", your tale of two men finding their love and finding each other. I am very impressed with two things (at least):
1) The quality of your posting was far superior to many of the writings I have read in the Nifty archive. Your use of the English language was refreshing, and the fact that it was a translation never got in the way of the story itself.
2) The story itself was a lovely story, a moving story, a heart-felt story. I even found some tears resident in my eyes at times. The story of a person in a "religious situation" struck a resounding chord within me. I too am in a religious situation, having been ordained fifty years ago. But I also have a love..... a different tale for a different day.
Thank you for posting this story. I enjoyed it, and was drawn back to it quickly when I found myself interrupted. I look forward to more of your writing.

I have been reading your story "The Mercenary and the Friar" since first posted and have found it very good not only sexy but a good description of the true 'love that dare not speak its name' as Oscar said.
I am irish (like Wilde) and know many comaskeys in Ireland. maybe not as Polish as it sounds. My story on Nifty is called "the druid" and it is on the historic section.
I am very pleased that you have shown an intelligent and even spiritual side of this thing which engulfs us who are subject to desire for youth and beauty, which is not understood by the world in which we live. Also that the youths we love can and do love us even if society thinks there is no way a boy can choose before his majority.
I do not advocate pedophilia in any way or shape but do understand the desire because I myself felt it in my youth.
