Ovoid, enameled overall in translucent orange over a basket-weave guilloché ground, the lower half applied with chased and engraved ribbon-tied laurel swags, the screw cover with openwork swivel cap, with gilt interior, marked under base. From the William Kazan Collection of Fabergé, sold at Christie's, New York, April 15, 1997, lot 87, $123,750. It appears on M.Y. Ghosn, Collection of William Kazan: Objets de Vertu par Fabergé, Paris, 1996, illustrated p. [222], listed p. 223, no. 168.
