Robert graduated from Cornell. He began his career in Bill Rockford's project finance group at the Chase Manhattan Bank.
He began acquiring the stage rights the Broadway musical Xanadu, which is loosely based on the 1980 Universal film that starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly, in 2002. During that period he produced three films - Bumping Heads, Book of Love and WTC View. Prior to stalking the Xanadu rights holders and DCB, Robert worked at Paramount Pictures and also in theatre in NYC on Full Gallop, Never the Sinner and The Diary of Anne Frank.
