Tyrant of Pherae
He reached the power becoming the ruler of Pherae, Thessaly, in 369, killing the legitimate ruler, his uncle Poliphron. In the war against Thebes, he won on the general Pelopidas. Alexander was killed in 358, after eleven years of the utmost cruel tyranny.
