Dr. Trance has become one of the leading pioneers in Canada's rave and music scene through DJing and producing events. In 2000, when Toronto city council voted to ban raves and other large-scale dance events, Berns was one of several people who organized a rally at City Hall that ended up attracting 15,000 people.
