Mother Superior of The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
Ken Bunch (Sister Vicious Power Hungry Bitch), is the co-founder and Mother Superior of The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a queer order of activist "nuns" founded in San Francisco in 1979, devoted to community fundraising, healthcare education and advocacy, civil-rights organizing, and consciousness raising.
In 1982 the order created Play Fair!, the first safer sex pamphlet to use plain sex-positive language; in 1983 they organized the very first AIDS candlelight vigil. In 1990 Sister Vicious and two other nuns went to Europe where they helped start an order in Berlin, and the Sisters now have houses in England, France, Germany, Scotland, Australia, and Columbia
