José Rafael Calva-Pratt|
(October 7, 1953 - September 20, 1998) Mexico
He was born in Mexico City, the oldest son, of Francisco Calva and Alicia Jimenez, both Mexicans.
He was a writer, composer, and contributed with several newspapers like Unomasuno in Mexico City. He won his first price as writer in 1980 with the book "Variaciones y Fuga de la Clase Media" published by Universidad Veracruzana.
He wrote several books like "El Jinete Azul" in 1985 and "Utopia Gay" written in 1983. There are references of these books in Amazon. co.uk but unfortunately there are no copies available, only of the first one which my mom keeps some in case any one is interested.
José died of AIDS complications in Washington D.C.
