Tevin CampbellTevin Campbell, born in Waxahachie, Dallas, Texas, started singing in his church choir by the time he had reached the age of four.

He gained fame as an R&B singer at the age of 13 with the debut of his first album T.E.V.I.N.

A child star of unprecedented ambition and talent, Campbell garnered two hit songs and collaborated with Prince and Quincy Jones, as well as James Ingram, Ray Charles and Chaka Khan, before recording the first of his three major label releases.

Tevin CampbellTevin was featured on Disney's Fourth of July Celebration in 1991.

He had a smoking addiction for a few years, and was outed in 1999, when he was arrested for soliciting a lewd act to a man. He was sentenced to attend meetings for a year.

In 2002 he toured Africa.
