Neapolitan dialect poet, jurist
Born near Naples, Niccolò Capasso, was a professor of church law and a colleague of Vico, Nicolò translated the first seven books of the Iliad into Neapolitan, and composed satirical poems, such as Sonniette ncoppa a lo vernacchio (Sonnets about the Fart) wich also includes the poem L'ommo.

that is day and night eager to sing bass and falsetto
at times in a low tone, and at times fortissimo
