Toni Davidson was born in Ayr in the sixties. He has edited And Thus I Will Freely Sing (1989), Scotland's first collection of lesbian and gay writing as well as Intoxication: An Anthology of Stimulant-Based Writing (1998).
His first novel, Scar Culture (1999), won a Scottish Arts Council Book Award, and explores the issues of incest, child abuse and psychosexual healing. It has been published in ten countries.
Toni Davidson has toured with the British Council in Germany and the Philippines. His latest books are the novel, Silem Renk (2005), and The Gradual Gathering of Lust and other tales (2007), a book of short stories. He lives and works in Glasgow.
