Stella Duffy

Stella Duffy was born in the UK but grew up in New Zealand and presently lives in London with her partner Shelley. In 2000 she wrote movingly about her experience of cancer in the Sunday newspers in the UK. Duffy works with the comedy company Spontaneous Combustion. She is a writer of popular lesbian crime fiction, featuring the lesbian sleuth Saz Martin. She also wrote a play, The Hand, for Gay Sweatshop, the gay and lesbian touring theatre company. She also teaches improvisation to both actors and writers.
