In 1998 NAXOS released a C.D. of his orchestral music, and by February 1999 it had sold a record number of copies. His wind music was featured at the National Flute Convention in Phoenix in August, 1998. His opera based on the E. M. Forster short story The Obelisk has become an international favorite and has received glowing praise from critics who particularly admire the sensitive but hilarious gay seduction scene.
He divides his time between Australia, U.K. and L.A. where he is currently engaged on a screen project. He is tipped to become one of the leading lights of post modernism.
His long time partner is the South African pianist Len Vorster.
