Bibiana was born in Tánger, Morocco, as Manuel Fernández Chica. She is one of the very few transexuals who made the transition into legitimate acting.
Bibí recorded an album titled "Lady Champagne" before embarking into films.
Early on in her career, many fans and the film critics were unaware that Bibí was transgendered since none of her films played on her transsexuality.
