Tori Fixx is known as the "funkiest gent of the 10 percent!" (= gay). He introduced the world to his "Porno Funk" sound, and his upcoming double CD release promises to take GLBT music deeper into the realm of P-Funk, proving that he is more than just a Hip-Hop recording artist. Out, The Advocate and fans worldwide have been raving about CD one, with two more cd's on the way this year.

Born in Minneapolis, the oldest of 3 children, Tori proved himself to be the creative one at an early age. Tori's musical adventure began at age 4 with training in piano and saxophone - he had spun his first record and was thoroughly schooled on a large variety of old school R&B, Blues, Jazz, Reggae and everything in between by his Aunt. Although "the old-school" jump-started Tori's love for music.

It was the 80's music that gave him the tools he needed and the man to inspire him the most was Prince. "He just set it off for me. I just learned so much from listening to his music." T. Fixx humbly admits. "Prince created the desire within me to want to create music of my own. I wanted to make people feel like he made me feel thru music."

In 1987 Fixx met his best friend, Nicole "Protégée" White, in a Minneapolis Jr. High School. The two clicked instantly and began their musical journey. The duo went thru trials and tribulations and paid their dues over the years that followed, constantly perfecting their craft along the way.

Tori FixxIn 1994, Tori landed a retail job for The New Power Generation. This eventually led to his first major gig as a personal DJ for The Purple One, himself. In 1996, the naughty boyy packed up and left Minneapolis for Los Angeles where he became roommates with international recording artist Oryon.

By 1998, T. Fixx found himself in Daly City, California where he released his first solo CD effort entitled Impact. He also teamed up with a hip-hop trio called "Rainbow Flava", and toured with them extensively throughout '99. The end results catapulted Tori into the bay area music scene as a force to be reckoned with, both as an artist and a DJ.

In 2000, Tori Fixx released his second CD, The Mochasutra, embarked on his first solo tour across the US, continued to tour with RBF, made apprearances as Dj Naughty Boyy in various clubs along the way and still held down 3 resident DJ gigs back in the bay area. That fall Rainbow Flava, along with new member T. Fixx, released their second CD, Digital Dope and then Tori found himself in recording sessions with R&B newcomers Marcel and Rudee (aka Janiah). That December, Tori also contributed a song for the independent film RITUAL by Stanley Bennett Clay.

In January 2001, Tori signed his frist Production/Artist Deal with Adyssi Records & Entertainment and found himslef back in Minneapolis. That summer, T. Fixx landed a performing role in a documentary called "Twisted Tounges" as well as a couple of songs on the soundtrack. By years end Tori Fixx still managed to squeeze out another solo CD. A remix project called ReFIXX. A tour was planned but then cancelled due to Tori's hectic production scheduel.

In early 2002, the Tori Fixx produced CD Black Widow by Protegee was released followed by Lisa Marie's Live Your Truth that summer. By that winter the film Dead Guys was released (featuring music by Tori Fixx). Tori also completed production work on Adyssi R&B recording artist Gary Hodges and his CD Black Olive was released in early 2003.

Tori then submitted music to the film How Do I Look? and then began work on a new CD from Protegee and a new hip-hop artist named Johnny Dangerous. Who Tori claims, "is unlike any other hip-hop MC he's ever heard."

Tori is also preparing for the release of his fourth solo CD entitled Black.Out which is going to be a triple disc set released at various dates during 2004 and he's already embarked on a nationwide promotional campaign beginning this past September during East Bay Pride's Peace Out Festival in Oakland, CA. which included Tori co-starring in a full length documentary on gay hip-hop music and community (slated for release in spring 2004).
