Seth Regner Gaaikema

Peter Biemans, born in Oosterhout. He was the commissioning editor at Yorin Dutch TV. His partner is the Dutch stand-up-comedian, lyricist, and translator of musicals, Seth Gaaikema.
Born in Uithuizen, Seth Gaaikema has studied Dutch Language and Literature. Seth translated some musicals, such as My Fair Lady and Les Miserables.
In 1981 Seth Gaaikema met Peter Biemans. They had a relationship for 27 years. On 30 May 2008 Seth married Peter in Schijndel.
With the farewell performance "What I would still like to see", Gaaikema closed his career after 55 years in the 2013-2014 theater season. His last performance took place on January 19, 2014 in the Stadsschouwburg in Groningen.
Seth died at the age of 75 in the Jeroen Bosch Hospital of heart failure. He was buried on Zorgvlied. Shortly before his death, he was still working on the television program Sterren op het Doek , in which he was interviewed by Hanneke Groenteman.
