Nisha Ganatra
(June 25, 1973 - living) Canada

Director, actress
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She was raised in Los Angeles and now lives in New York, NY, where she studied at New York University's graduate Film School. Before making films, Nisha worked as a personal assistant to Tom Arnold and Roseanne and worked with Lucasfilm's THX department on Schindler's List and When a Man Loves a Woman.
Junky Punky Girlz, the short Nisha directed while at New York University's Graduate Film
School, has won many awards including: NYU's prestigious Tisch Fellowship; and PBS series Grand Prize for Most Outstanding Short Film of the year. While at NYU, Nisha studied with director
Spike Lee, Martin Scorsese, and Barbara Kopple. She is the recipient of the Warner Brothers Production Award for her film work at NYU.
