Dr. M. Morgan Holmes, an academic who earned a Ph.D. at McGill University in interdisciplinary studies (combining medical anthropology, bioethics, and political science), and director of the Canadian chapter of Intersex Society of North America (ISNA), which provides peer counselling and support and research resources for those dealing with personal and/or research issues connected to intersexuality.
Author of Queer Cut Bodies: Intersexuality & Homophobia in Medical Practice, which highlights the similarities of traditional practises of female genital mutilation and genital reconstructive surgery of children who were born intersexed.
