James M. Holobaugh
(? - living) U.S.A.
Author
Cadet James M. Holobaugh told his commandant of his homosexuality but offered to serve his obligation anyway. Holobaugh was suspended from the Army, and in 1989, the Reserve Officers' Training Corps commission recommended that the Army ask cadet Holobaugh to pay back the scholarship he got at Washington University.
The Army tried to pursue former cadet Holobaugh for Reserve Officers' Training Corps scholarship monies, and he has been asked to pay back $25,000. He went to court, and won his case. Holobaugh's story appears in his authobiographical book Torn Allegiances.
