Jenkins worked on projects with Bryan Derbyshire, and he was one of the founders of the original Block Club in Shepherds Bush in London in 1985. In the late 1980s he was an assistant editor on Him magazine.
In 1990 he established The Anvil club at London Bridge. This was a fetish club which made him infamous and gained him an international reputation. The club also held frequent benefit nights for his favourite charity, GMFA (Gay Men Fighting AIDS).
He died while undergoing surgery at Newham General Hospital. His funeral was held at the City of London Crematorium.
