Comedian
James is an alumn of the famous Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles, where he performed with fellow alumni Lisa Kudrow, Kathy Grifin, Julia Sweeney and many more now famous faces. He was a member of the Hollywood Improvisation Comedy Club where he regularly appeared with the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Dennis Miller and many others.
Openly gay standup comedian (whose screamingly funny show Seven Sins, featuring vignettes from his varied life experiences demonstrating the seven deadly sins, played to sell-out crowds at the 2003 Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival). He is the former editor of Upside technology magazine during the dot.com boom.
James has appeared on numerous television shows including Evening at the Improv, Comedy on the Road, and Star Search. As a comedy writer his work as appeared on HBO, The Arsenio Hall Show, VHI Spotlight, Friday Night Videos and many others.
His writing has appeared in many news and magazine publications on topics ranging from comedy to yoga to innovation in technology. He is a former criminal defence and intellectual property attorney and the owner of JBJ Vineyards in Paso Robles, California where he grows and produces red wine.
