He was born and raised in a small town near Saint-Etienne. As an adolescent he was deeply attracted to underground culture: alternative lifestyles, romanticizing decadence, and rebellion. All of which has deeply influenced his work. As a quiet, introverted, boy Kiska started writing at the age of 14.

At the age of 17, after spending a technological degree in hospitality, he joined a one-year educational program in Norway. The shame and denial and confusion of being different in so many ways, including the discovery of his homosexuality, all strongly marked his world-view and values.

Kiska wasn't ultimately satisfied by his writing, and at the age of 20, he started taking a fast growing interest in photography; discovering a whole new dimension in which he could express himself. He started taking photos to illustrate his short stories and he immediately connected to the lens and found great passion in this new dimension to explore and communicate his vision and inner enterprise.

At the age of 21 he wanted to illustrate his texts. He turned to the photo and he learned to develop film in his bathroom. Among other things he made a short film, he does digital drawing, sometimes graphics, and he also makes sculpture.

Before his debut novel Les Vestiges d'Alice (2009) Kiska focused on short stories. After 10 years of art photography he launched his photobook Outlandish /Room/ (2014) which garnered attention in several countries.
