Formerly three-quarters of the pioneering Goth group Bauhaus, the trio of Daniel Ash (Guitar and Vocals), David J (Bass and Vocals), and Kevin Haskins (Drums and Percussion) formed the group "Love and Rockets".
Love and Rockets issued its first album Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven back in 1985 and scored a Top 10 hit in 1989 with So Alive, a track from the band's self-titled record.
But right when the band seemed poised for mainstream success, Love and Rockets opted to take a five year sabbatical and did not release an album until 1994's Hot Trip to Heaven.
Following the amicable split, each member says it plans to continue pursuing his own individual projects; Ash will score films, singer/bassist David J is looking to make a solo record, and drummer Haskins will move on as a composer, remixer, and programmer.
Their albums include:
- Kundalini Express (1986)
- Mirror People (1988)
- Lazy (1988)
- Motorcycle/I Feel Speed (1989)
