William was born in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. When he was young, his family moved to California. Here he attended university and majored in Marketing/Advertising. Between his junior and senior years, William accompanied a friend to South America to follow a treasure map from an obscure Spanish botanical text.

After William got his university degree, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged at Sergeant E-5 rank. He then started to write fiction, largely influenced by personal experience.

William became thus an internationally best-selling author. He has had published (under various pseudonyms), over one-hundred books in genres including gay erotica, sci-fi, science-fantasy, mystery, romance, adventure-espionage, and western. His work has been translated into six foreign languages. He presently resides in the Pacific Northwest.
