Born in Munich, Germany, Moshammer had an education in retail industry trading. He began to design fashion in the 1960s.

His base of existence was his boutique "Carnaval de Venise" in Munich's high society street, Maximilianstraße. There he created fashion for wealthy men from furs, cashmere, and silk. With this strategy he attracted the high society of Munich and Germany. Nicknamed Mosi, he owns a shop called "Moshammer" on Maximilianstrasse - Munich's most expensive shopping street.

Rudolph Moshammer & DaisyAnd don't forget his dog Daisy, he never is without her. Lately she (the dog) has published her autobiography which is also available as audio book. Daisy, a tiny yorkshire terrier is nearly more famous then Mosi himself, she always wears a silk ribbon on her head.

Mosi is pretty wealthy and does a lot for any kind of charity. Lately, he bought, at the Sotheby's auction, Napoleon Bonaparte's white linen shirt worn a little before the Emperor lost the Battle of Waterloo (June 18th 1815) against the Anglo-Prussian troops.

The shirt, with the imperial monogram embroidered with red thread, is estimated at about 40,000 pounds. After having changed hands numerous times in the recent past, the shirt was bought by Mosi, who has now decided to put the shirt up for auction for charity. The profit from the sale will go in favor of a humanitarian association supporting the homeless of Munich.

On the morning of January 14, 2005, at 9 AM, he was discovered by his chauffeur, lying with a telephone cable around his neck. He had been murdered by an Iraqi asylum seeker, a 25 year old rent boy who he had picked up earlier in the evening. Daisy was found unharmed in the living room of his mansion.
