Valborg Henrika Christina Olander|
(1861 - 1943) Sweden
Valborg Olander, who taught at the teacher's college in Falun, in 1902 met Selma Lagelöf. Valborg aimed at pedagogical reform and was active in the suffrage movement. Altough they never lived together, Olander became the life-time companion and lover of Lagerlöf, who found in her a loving and supporting companion.
Selma wrote in a letter to Valborg:
"Soon we will work together and make love, make love excited. It is so wonderful to think about it."
