Anthony Perkins

He was born in New York City, the son of actor Osgood Perkins, and the father of Oz Perkins and Elvis Perkins. He attended Rollins College in Winter Park for three years during the early 1950s, before departing to Los Angeles to begin his film career. Perkins was a classmate of Fred Rogers (aka "Mr. Rogers").
He debuted in The Actress (1953), and received an Oscar nomination as Gary Cooper's pacifist son in Friendly Persuasion (1956). He had his greatest success with his role as Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.
Perkins has always tried to keep his homosexuality a secret. He died in Hollywood, California, from pneumonia, brought on by AIDS.
