Their fame started for them back in 1992, they had been together as a band for nearly two years before that and where very close o calling it a day as a few singles realeased did not do anything for them.
Sadly their worldwide fame, very busy schedule and strict manager left the band tired and worked out, which caused tensions within the band. Eventaully Robbie decided he could take no more and decided to quit the band and the split was a little on the bitter side.
In the UK at least they were considered to be the ultimate in boy bands. The departure of Robbie led to the usual speculation that they had reached the end of the road. When Take That announced they were to be no more, back in 1996, it led to a worldwide emotional anxiety on the part of their female fans. Help lines were set up to deal with their fans emotinoal stress.
Of course we all know about Robbie's success since leaving the band, along with some limited success from Gary Barlow. Mark went on to release an album that didn't do too bad, but then disappeared out of the business and has since tried his hand at presenting. Whilst Howard and Jason have faded into the background.
