Cludius Nero Tiberius
(42 BC - March 16, 37 AD) Rome

Emperor
He was the stepson, later adopted, and successor from 14 AD of the emperor Augustus.
Tiberius was a distinguished soldier, and he was a conscientious ruler under whom the empire prospered.
In later life, tired of the Roman aristocrats behaviour, he retired to Capri, from where he continued to rule.
He was known as a lover of both girls and boys.
