Playwright
Jonathan is the author of the play The Twilight of the Golds, which has been produced on Broadway and in productions around the world. He co-wrote and co-produced the film version starring Brendan Fraser and Faye Dunaway for Showtime. Another play, If Memory Serves, was produced off-Broadway starring Elizabeth Ashley and Sam Trammell.
Jonathan recently had his Off-Broadway The Last Sunday In June, performed at The Century Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.
He also co-wrote The Divine Miss Millennium Tour with Bruce Vilanch, Mark Waldrop and Bette Midler. Then he wrote material for the 72nd Annual Academy Awards®. He has written articles for Frontiers, Opera Monthly, Avenue, and Time magazines. He starred as Billy Crocker in Anything Goes in 1984 and was president of the club that same year.
