The openly lesbian comedian delights SRO audiences from San Francisco to South Beach to Sydney and is featured in the documentary, Laughing Matters, which is a hit at film festivals nationwide and in the award-winning film, We're Funny That Way, which is regularly shown on HBO.
She appeared at The Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, is a comedy writer and former television host of the New York variety show, In The Life. Karen's humor writings appear in numerous anthologies, including Revolutionary Laughter, Out in All Directions, and Out, Loud & Laughing.
As founder of "Humor and Healing Arts" (HaHA) Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, Karen presents humor-related workshops, seminars, and keynotes for corporations, colleges, federal agencies, state departments of health, social service and non-profit organizations.
Affectionately known as the "Diva of Comedy" and the "Queen of Improv.", Karen is the creator and facilitator of Humor-At-Large workshop series.
