Barry Winchell
(1977 - 1999) U.S.A.
Army private
Army private first class killed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He had been harassed before the murder, but was afraid to report it out of fear of revealing his sexual orientation. His death led President Bill Clinton to order a review of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, which many believe contributed to his murder.
