Program director Astraea National Lesbian Action Foundation. Activist in the movement for social justice for more than twenty-five years. Veteran of the black Liberation and black feminist movements of the '60s and '70s. Advocacy journalist, in commercial and community radio in Washington, D.C., and New York City.
Activist in the lesbian and gay movement since the '70s working with grassroots and national organizations. Prior to becoming Astraea's Program Director in October 1994, she spent five years on the staff of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, first as Director of the Families Project and subsequently as Director of the Creating Change Conference.
